AZ.6.RL/RI.1- Students will cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

1b- Students will make sure pronouns are used correctly in sentences (as subjects, as objects or as possessives).
1c- Students will use intensive (reflexive) pronouns correctly (myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, and themselves).
1d- Students will recognize and correct inappropriate shifts in pronoun number and person.
1e- Students will recognize and correct vague pronouns (those with unclear antecedents).
AZ.6.L.2- Students will show correct capitalization, punctuation and spell standard English in their writing.
2a- Students will use commas, parentheses and dashes to set off specific elements in thier writing.
2b- Students will spell sixth grade words correctly.
Students will be writing narrative and informative/explanatory essays this quarter incorporating the following standards.
